Visions Of Fright
10/21/04 |
A whisper in the dark, a cry at night,
Are sounds I hear that give me fright.
A shadow I see in a murky glow,
Makes me wonder if a ghost will show.
Creaks and moans I sometimes hear,
It makes me shiver and shake with fear.
Halloween is here, there is no doubt,
These noises scare me, I want to shout.
There's a vampire there, behind that tree,
He wants to bite me, he wants me to bleed.
A werewolf too is lurking close by,
Under a full moon and pitch black sky.
As these monsters creep closer to make a bloody scene,
I suddenly wake up and realize, it was just a dream.

A Special Gift
12/04/04 |
The first time we met, I fell in love,
You were a special gift from God above.
From your little hands to your little feet,
With your precious smile, you are complete.
A prettier child I have never seen,
You're like the sun, how brightly you beam.
Your mother and father are so proud of you,
And grandmother and I feel the same way too.
If from this life I should happen to part,
Remember this poem, it came from my heart.
In dedication to my granddaughter, Alexis.

The Serenade Of Night
12/21/04 |
The sounds of night, they beckon me,
The whistling wind, blowing through the trees.
The lone wolf howls, how sad it sounds,
Singing a song, that is so profound.
The fluttering wings from the bats above,
They flock together, like a tight fitting glove.
The chirping of crickets, sounds through the night.
Moths on soft wings, what a beautiful sight.
The night brings music, so sweet to my ears,
A concert I've enjoyed, throughout my years.
